No PS: How Hard Is it to Turn

Low speeds?....hard. If my car is not moving I have to use both hands to turn the wheel, but the more you start moving the easier it is. After about 10mph it's very driveable with one hand.

IMO: its actually easier than most cars... but then again depends on your strength you would get used to it. I also like the handling after i took the ps pump out.

It depends on if the whole system was removed or just the pump. If the whole system was removed you will have a heck of a time reaching the rack with the engine in. At the very least, you would have to remove the intake manifold to get it.

Very true, it will depend on how much was removed. Ther are lines from the pump to the steering rack to the VSS to the reservior plus several sensors an such.

It's not hard to drive with no power steering...it just feels "unsafe" ... theres so much play in the wheel it just feels like your going to take a corner too fast, not crank the wheel hard enough and fly straight off into a ditch or tree haha. Getting over the feeling of having two flat tires up front takes a little getting used to.
I used to drive an 89 Dodge RamCharger ( SUV ) ...with some sloppy *** steering and the feeling is the exact same now in my prelude

I agree it feels unsafe. I drove once before. It took me a while to get used to it, especially when you making a U turn, it was a very painful experience, but once when your car is moving, it is easier to turn. But when you are making a turn fast, the wheel gets back so quickly, and it would give you shock and yes, it is quite unsafe for me.
When I get back to PS, it feels much better to turn and daily drive, but ironically, I quite like driving without PS, because it feels more precise whiling turning.

8whp+ is worth it for some people....i may do it if i can get together a good breather/catch reservoir setup....
