ok i have read my accord owners manual for the gapping. but thats just facotry gapped plugs. and i want to gain a lil more power from the gapping. i was wondering wat do u ppls have ur spark plugs gapped at??? which rating is better???

 

Go by Honda's specs only or you can have mis fires down the road. It would be different if you had an MSD or similar ignition system with real hot plugs but with a normal system you would be only hurting things to screw with the gap.

I would leave them at the stock gap. But definately index them.

 

they are supposed to be gapped at .040--.044 do them always at the lower end because as they wear down the gap will get bigger

 

are these for stock sparkplugs???

 

For what it's worth and knowing that this is for a different generation, my '99's owner's manual specifies 0.04".

yes ... actually i was a tiny off ,, gap should be .039-.043....including yours Heat..
so set it at .039 cause like i said as they wear gap gets wider

 

Interesting side note the NGK plugs have the gap in mm at the end of the part number bpr5ey11 the '11' means 1.1 mm
