Default d15 block with d16 crank, will it work?

I am rebuilding a d15b7 and wondered if a d16 crank would fit. d15 internals are all in good shape i thought maybe i could get a little longer stroke it this works. anybody ever tried this?

Its not going to happen..
The D16 crank has much larger journals.

D15b7 has 45mm main journals,
While the D16a6 has 55mm main journals..
