I was at the autocross today. Actually it was the Solo2 Novice School in Hollywood Park, Ca.

There were 4 stations in which to master. One station included a skidpad. If you/your car can drive 38mph around the pad without under/oversteering you're pulling 1 lateral g.

My Teg averaged 39-40mph. Approx 1.04 g's

The suspension/tire combo is perfectly balanced. My car was doing 4 wheel drifts through turns without any oversteer from the rear.

I'm amazed. Can't wait to go back tomorrow!

 

That's phreakin' awesome mang!!! Especially when you consider that a stock GS-R only pulls 0.8x Gs.

I wonder how much more a LSD would help you.

 

I'm sure a limited slip would make it a whole different car. I'm thinking that after this clutch is dead, I'll install the LSD and lightened flywheel.

It's not just the tires that make the car handle the way it does. The ITR 22mm sway helped a lot!

Bad ***! Who said a well set up gsr could not out handle a stock type R... When is the next time that school is occuring? I would be happy to get .9.

 

My summer tires will need to be replaced before too long. I'll look into some Azenis. Anyone else had experience with these tires?

(FWIW, my current summers are Dunlop D60A2s).
