Default Hit the curb w/ rim while backing up

Still trying to get used to the dimensions on the car. so backing up one time into the driveway, the edge of the curb hit the rear left wheel. Minor scratch to the rim, but i felt a slight nudge on the rear of the car. Maybe i'm being a little paranoid, but since there's no way to rotate tires i wanted to see if an alignment is needed (or suspension checked) for damages and avoid having to purchase expensive new tires right away due to improper wear. A biggger concern is on the suspension. Would any of my suspension have been tweaked due to the "nudge". i was backing up slowly, but i felt the nudge.

Anything I can check out on my own too?

sigh...

About how fast were you backing up? When you hit the curb, had you just hit the gas? Or were you backing up steadily?

it was more almost coasting, walking speed. very light downgrade, going to the drive away across our home (private late of townhouses).

s2kdre, how do you mean compare to other side? kinda hard to tell if i'm not a shop, no?

if your suspension is made out of plastic then you should worry...

tire rotations have nothing to do with alignment.

yeah i dont think your going to need new tires or an alignment from curbing a wheel

"tire rotations have nothing to do with alignment. "

if all 4 tires were same size, your tire wear could show if you need an alignment (odd wear). just easier to view all 4 during rotation.

If you were just coasting I don't see how you could possibly hurt anything.
