Default painting interior trim pieces

On my crx, the center consol is kinda scratched to **** from the first owner, I wanted to sand down hte scratches and paint it. Im guessing the middle is a gloss or semi gloss black, what gloss is the outside portion of it?

Any other advise or tips on makeing interior look mint again?

as for sanding it hum?i wouldnt do it cause it will leave scracthes in the plastic.u might be abl to hit it with wet/dry paper but if its too deep i would just find some plastic filler fill it then paint it black

Yea he's right, use a fine scuff pad (think auto zone has them) and wipe it down with alcohol to promote adhesion without messing up the natural texture.

Ive found that even 2000 grit sandpaper leaves scratches in plastic...there is another type of sandpaper it has a name like ______paper...i cant remeber the name for the life of me sorry but its like way softer than 2000 grit sandpaper..it might do the job it depends what kinda scratches your dealing with..plastic is tricky like that
