Default Strut sits to high

Okay, I changed out the struts on my car around a month ago, however I put my springs back on my stock struts, when I put them on, the driverside strut sat up higher than the passenger. Well, now I replace them with AGX's, same problem. Only difference now, theyre gas struts so the strut bounces around when I hit bumps, must fix ASAP I have no idea whats wrong. the ring that goes under the locking nut does not sit flush on the bottom of the strut barrel as it does on the other struts, any idea? I have a drive to IL from NC Tuesday.. I need to fix this ;/ Thanks

The problem:

try loosening all the bolts holding the strut to the control arm and damper fork, and jack up the control arm till the car lifts off the jack stands, sounds like it might not have seated properly? worth a shot anyway

updated with picture, also the nut seems to keep loosening itself up, im assuming from being banged againist the chasis when bumps are hit. also, i can pull the strut to the middle of the circle the strut sits in, but i cannot get it to sit flush to the bottom of the chasis.

It's not helping that you put the strut together completely wrong. Can't you tell that from simply looking at the picture? Just ******* wow, dude. If you can't install suspension correctly on your own, take it somewhere that can so you aren't a rolling accident waiting to happen.

I agree with this guy, there isn't even a bushing under that washer retainer, if u can't put it back together right u don't need to be working on it!
