my firend wants to trade me a ls motor with 2 trannys one is messed up and some money for my b16 v-tec

im planning to get a h22a swap anyways but i wanna know if this is a good trade?

if it were me i wouldnt do it... not unless you plan on going boost on the ls then maybe... it depends on what you use the motor for and the condition... and the condition of yours... just my two pennies

trade for you B16 w/ tranny? if it is with tranny hell no. If it is not then i would agree with R-type. depends what you want to do with it.

well i know that i want to boost b16 it and have it as a back up motor because im working on a H22a swap but would a ls(non v-tec) be better boosted

there a lot of topics about that. The b16 will make great power and so will the ls. all depends on what you are running for a setup. B18 will provide more displacement and give more torque etc etc... It comes down to how much money you are getting along wth it

I'd pass unless you can keep your b16 tranny.

If your going H even for back up why deal with more hassle just work on that project.

Why are H22s gay? They aren't as common as the typical B, D, or even K series anymore. H22 is about one of the only way to do a motor swap in a CRX and be different. One reason while i'll be running a boosted H22.
