Default Out the thieves

Why don't we start posting the names and photos (if available) of arrested car thieves that are published in the newspapers. Also do the same with chop shop owners. Let the ITR world see who they are. Then pin it, so it's always available and current. Let's see who they are.

Make sure you cite your newspaper source to protect H-T, or better yet, find the article online and post a direct link.

Why the face?

You such an ******* pessimist. Granted, you know no one is going to do this but you never have anything productive to say. I know this is like the pot calling the kettle black but your such a dick, Tom.

Sounds like a good idea, however car theft rarely makes the papers in NYC, just too much other stuff going on day to day.

Actually, what we really need is a dedicated website for outing car thieves and chop shops. I'm surprised there isn't one already. Maybe there is, but I haven't found it. If someone knows of one, post up a link.

There were a couple in the Philly area in the paper over the past few days, but they didnt publish any names and/or pictures yet.

EDIT: Here are some people from Charlotte who were busted last week.

I think this would be a good idea but hard to accomplish. If I hear anything in my area I'll be sure to post it.

Opie's posts do have alot of that stuff, but he also helps people and gives a ****.

I really can't say I've seen the same from Tom. He's always been an e-thug... Opie at least is a genuine thug

If I see anything about arrested theives and such, I'll post it up if I can get my hands on the media.

wouldn't posting pictures of captured car thieves pointless...they've been captured. now of course they could resume their jacking of cars once they get out of prison...but they probably won't look the same after having aged 10 years for being convicted of grand theft auto.

Not necessarily. Remember, the car they get busted for stealing, isn't the first one they stole. It's probably the 17th or 100th car they stole. So if you had your R jacked a month ago, and around that time you were also hanging with one of the Plaza Boys that's in the pic above, you could put 2+2 together and nail his ***.

so you mean to say that you could hit them with your theft as well on top of others....makes sense...didn't think that far into it.

Just for that you're gonna need to post your pic now.

That was a goofy comment though.

I think this is a good idea. Like other data banks that people can check with criminals on it, doesn't necessarily mean that the criminal will strike again, but if they are made aware that they have been added to a nation wide data base that is easily accessible to the public, it could possibly detere a second occurance in the future.

Also, if the person moves to a different state and is arrested again, the law can check the database to see if they have a first time conviction or are dealing with a repeat (which could bring a longer jail sentence or whatever).

I feel it would be nice to check out a website that has people in my area who have been arrested for automitive related crimes.

An example: I recently looked up the National Sex Offender Registry and happened to find a guy that was living just down the road from my house. One of my good friends has five kids and I just can't let that **** happen if I can be aware of it and prevent it.

for the registry.

I have decided to start work on a website dedicated to posting information regarding convicted thieves, theft rings, and security. The site will utilize RSS. It may take me some to get it up due to an upcoming move and other such related factors, but I should be able to have it up by the end of Jan. I will make a post upon it's completion.

Let me know what I can do to help. I'm sure you already know, being a computer genius and all, but register a creative domain name.

Another thing that would take some serious effort is getting the site out there to the media and law enforcement agencies and having it regularly updated.
