Default Lip Kit Problems in rear

made out of abs plastic.

The exhaust right now is what is pushing it up into the right place right above it, but u can see it goes down towards the corners. How can i make it stay up there? is there anything i can do to fix it?

so your tail pipe is holding the lip in place?

you might try some good double sided tape (like the 3M 0.025" kind) but it won't last forever.

You need the brackets, take a screw, and drill through the lip to teh bumper, on teh underside of the bunper where it wont be noticed at all. Also, even if they exhaust is close you sill still risk melting the lip.

Its hard to say without having you right here, where i can show you off the bunmper. Doesnt the lip wrap about the bottom of the bumper a little bit? Enough to fit a screw ino there? did the lip come with brackets?

that's definitely going to melt your lip bro, mount it properly. If you haven't figured it out yet, I would take it to a pro or you might f#@k it up

is there something that can be put in between exhaust and bumper that will absorb heat and not melt bumper?

not to be a hater or anything, but if it aint oem, it aint worth it. you learn over time. you get what you pay for, i know its always true. oem style is nice, but nothin like the real thing.

They are correct. What im telling you will only help you mount it, but as seen in the pictures, you cant raise the lip high enough out of the exhaust tips way. The exhaust is still going to melt the lip. Did you get any brackets? as far as the screw, there should have been one screw in there , which would go through the lip and bumper, on the bottom of the bumper, at the very bottom, where no one would see it, except for your mechanic.

yes your lip will melt..mines did but then soome1 jacked them! hahahah you can't get them to fit i tried for 8 hours and got nowhere so i left it on like that..drilled a hole at the bottom of the lip and the oem bumper and zip tied it to hold on together..worked out well, had very little gap but my exhaust started to melt it...best bet is to cut off your exhaust, get that lip and your car to a prof. place. Have them put it in, then go reweld your exhaust. You are golden not melting no gaps! i am through with lips, had my back yanked off, a FAT racoon took my lip with him while my tires bumped over him , and my side skirts have been scratched with a screw driver and ppl have tried to kick them off! I went through 2 sets of front and rear lips but in the end i am left again with ONLY my side skirts! Just look at my avatar, gosh i miss how it used to look, lookd DAMN sweet.....my whole car was black including my headlights (smoked) and my rear tail lights (smoked), smoked side amber markers too! AAHHHH freaking thieves!
