advance timing on stock d16y8

i was wondering if advancing the timing on a stock d16y8, would make any more power?? dumb question and dont know anything about a single, searching didn't help either. thanks

um well it should. i had a y7 i advanced and it was a big difference. very big! also gas-wise too.. haha.
