Default goodbye halogen, hello hid

finally put the hids in. and yes theres glare because its not a retrofit so please, keep flaming to a minimum and dont state the obvious. however, before i put them in i went ahead and purchased 2 brand new oem headlights so the lenses would be alot cleaner and the seals would be safe because i dont want to blow any bulbs.

day pics on page 2

before:

after:

last one was blurry because it was cold as ***** and i couldnt stand out there anymore. daytime pics will be up tommorow because the install was just finished tonight .

Just get the Caspers Shields for now... That should take care of all the glare for now. You won't have the cleanest beam pattern, but it won't blind everyone and you will be able to see the road decent...

i've been wanting to get hid for my ek as well but only thing holding me back is the glare issues and i think retrofitting looks funny.

what setup do you have? oem or some kit? like suggested get the casper shields atleast for now they are like 30 bucks on ebay.

when was the last time any of you jerked your car towards oncoming traffic because the lights were too bright? what are you a moth and cant look away from the light? when you learn how to operate a vehicle its suggested that if bright lights are coming at you to look at the right lower part of the road so you dont have any accidents.

I bright everyone with hid retro's in halogen housings. It's illegal, dangerous, and most of the guys who do it don't even adjust there headlights down.

Illegal in some places but not really here. We have no emissions or anything so rarely will you get pulled for having any kinda of modification. Did you put them in yourself ??
