Default coolant problem ?

sup guys

my fender lining ripped off at a drive thru the other day
i popped my hood, and my coolant level is very low, under the minimum
and the cap was popped open when i looked under the hood

now, my vtec doesnt kick anymore
i do have a cel, but ive had it for a while because of a bad cat

the question i have is, do i have to flush and replace the coolant ?
or can i just put more in ? the car isnt overheating or anything ..
and also, could coolant issues have anything to do with no vtec ?

no, his car would be running hot if that was the case. what motor, year, etc? My B16 will go through a little bit of coolant (no leak or bad headgasket), you just have to keep an eye on it. Usually I will top off the system every 1500 miles or so. It's perfectly fine to add coolant to your system. Why don't you check your oil level too, sounds like you might have fucked up your oil pan on that driveway, did you check for dents?

yea, my oil pan is beat pretty bad
its been beat for a while, but recently i went through a lot of bad roads so it may be worse ...
would that affect oil pressure or vtec engagement ?
would i have to replace the oil pan ? there is no leak ...

im planning on changing the oil this week regardless
