Default turbo to big..need smaller one

ok i have a t3/t4 turbo and im fed up with it. its a decent turbo and all but i want boost through all my gears and i dont even get full boost until third gear. so i dont know if there is something wrong or it is just to big. i was wondering if the turbos off the 1g eclipse would bolt right on to a t3/t4 manifold?

why not try something like the nlr 4 stage boost controler, should solve your problem!

No, a 14B has a mitsu style exhaust flange which is different from a T3.

Going from a full garrett spec turbo to a Mitsubishi turbo is a big step backwards..

What kinda motor u got and what specs are the turbo???

Also, a mitsu turbine housing will not bolt up to a T3 or T4 flanged manifold. U will need some kinda adapter if one is even made???

your not getting any boost in second gear at all??
Thats weird on a 57trim...

Getting boost at 3500RPM on the otherhand isnt a bad thing since u do have FWD.

adjusted and tune correctly you should be able to get boost in all gears, btw what engine managemnet do you have b/c not geeting any boost until 3rd is crazy?

on a base t3/t4 on an ls turbo if you dont have boost at all in 1st and 2nd, you have a problem, and its not a turbo that is too big.

Check for leaks, that is rediculous. That turbo should def hit some decent boost at least by second gear....and downgrading to a 14b would suck. That turbo would be so inefficient on the ls.

not to say your dumb, but is it spinning. when they spin there is no load so usualy no boost.

something must be wrong...definetly need a tune also...im using a similar turbo(54 trim) with an itr tranny and im getting pretty good boost...first gear goes by real fast with some boost, second i see full boost at higher rpms...make sure you have no leak like mentioned....is your bov going off normally, i mean regular driving conditions?

well i have a t3/T4 50 trim on my stock b16 with stock injectors and and a fmu/afc for tuning and im hitting full boost thru all gears. 1st goes by very fast and 2nd and third are where the wheelspin slows down to graba little traction. So there is def a prob somewhere within your setup.

Id suggest a tune and a lot of replaceing of hose. Hoses are cheap so it may just be a bad one. GL
