Default b16 head on stock gsr block questions

i did a search and didnt come up with the exact answers im looking for-

I currently have a stock 95 GSR motor in my integra that is burning oil-- i looked it over and it seems like its my valve seals or a cracked valve guide or something-
i had a gsr ecu but i traded it for a Mugen chipped p28 for the single butterfly thing with the new head

I traded a nos kit for a b16 head the other day and was wanting to put it on instead of getting my valve seals done seeing that people want 300 and up to do it-so my questions-

The head is set up for ls vtec and has the oil line on the back.. can i block that off somehow..?

Will i be able to use my stock water pump and stock timing belt (timing belt is new)

what head gasket to use?

and any other info would be good- the point in all this will be to get my car to stop burning oil and i can always do ctr pistons down the line

thanks guys

you should do a leak down test of your head, and check your rings because they can cause oil burn off as well

you can take the nipple off the back of the head and screw the stock plug from your gsr head in there and take the other threaded peice out of the vtec oil hole out of the bottom of the b16 head so you can use the stock oil line from inside the block

you can use your stock water and oil pumps and use a new GSR timing belt and head gasket to put things back together. I would use the GSR cams and put them in the b16, GSR cams have a little better profiles

let me know how things go

sweet- that helps out alot-- i was wondering about the cam thing too but forgot to ask-- i guess i should do a leak down test to find out for sure what it is-- but we took out my spark plugs and there wasnt any oil or residue on them and its burning oil reallly really bad--- like when i hit vtec i cant see behind me anymore

Usually when you accelerate and you have blue smoke it is rings. It could be a mixture of both though. Do you have alot of smoke on startup. That is usually valve seals.

no smoke unless i gas it- I also know that im running rich (o2 sensor wires are cut)
I was spraying Nos on it for one day and it didnt smoke when i sprayed but I can smell oil in the smoke and the black on the muffler is thick like oil- + im loosing alot of oil every week and its definatly not leaking

oh yeah and one more detail if it helps-

I bought the motor with a broken timing belt- i was there when it snapped and then bought it put a new timing belt on it and it started right up and ran- this was a year ago- my cousin said that the valve guide could have possibly cracked

yes you can do it, just put a plug in the oil line on the head and your stock timing belt will work and use the b16 head gasket

looks good if you are smokin whn you are gassing it then its probably blow by from your rings, you should probably replace them anyways while you have your motor apart

i have some b16 pistons in my garage, ill PM you to talk more about them
