no problems, just eliminate the plugs used on the auto trans and use ones for a manual.. just make sure nothing thats needed is left unplugged

His **** will blow up...derf... No, but really,I'm not sure if that was a serious question or not... Wat happens if u leave a vss unplugged... Ur speedo doesn't work..u leave ur reverse sensor unplugged..no reverse lights..how about forgetting to plug in ur starter?... Looks like ur push starting... Everything else could possibly throw a cel...

first of all the garage which swaped my tranny SUCKS his work was not clean at all ...

when I swaped a manual trany in my 96 ex there was no reverse lights and the speed gauges went crazy up and down, later on i took it to another garage and as he said (i canceled some wires which used to be on the car when it was automatic)
and after that the lights worked fine so did the gauges but the check engine light was still on (some people said because i'm using the automatic ecu and i have to get a manual ecu).
so i was wondering if there is anything else that i have missed !

that garage really sucks Fu*k it.
it has been 3 months since i swaped a manual trany and i'm still pissed when i remember that garage !!!!

its really a straight foward swap i just did it on my 98 civic ex and my bros 00 civic ex. The automatic harness works fine, there are like 4 plugs that get unused on the automatic. The only plugs u need on the manual are the speedo and reverse everything else is mechanical. The only plug u will be missing is the plug for the idle air control valve on the back of the manifold, because the auto iacv is 3 wire and manuall one is 2 wire, all u have to do is solder the 2 wires from the manual iacv to the auto iacv plug. u dont need a plug. And of course u have a CEL if you running a auto ecu in a manual car u need a manual ECU. Any more questions im me.

Off topic, if you're thinking of doing an auto/manual swap on your EG/EK. Refer to these two threads, they're the best out there.
