i have a 88 crx and i what to swap the sohc d16 into it and i was wondering if i need to get mounts for that or will it drop in and if not if i keep stock si crx tranny will it bolt up to the d16y8

 

Stock tranny will bolt up, and it will drop in.

You will need to use the 88 clutch/flywheel set up if using the stock 88 tranny.

You will have all the parts needed between the two engines, just a way to control the needed fuel mapping and vtec are the only things left.

 

i was just wondering thought if i could use the d16 tranny of the ex

 

if the ex tranny belongs to the d16y8 it will not work, keep your si tranny trust me

 

you should convert to obd1 and run a p28 ecu.
