Default --Caliper Upgrades-15" Wheel Fitment-- help!

Well after a long hard 180,000 miles I feel as though the brakes could do with a re-fresh. I have already switched out most of the suspension components, with this being the last on my list for a while; thats the plan at least.

However, I am currently running 15" Forged Buddy Club P1's, with a width of 6.5. I can't remember the offset at the moment, but I am sure some JDM freak knows it!

So, as a result, I am looking for a performance upgrade for the calipers to fit under a 15" wheel. I haven't had much luck searching, but figured a few of you "function" users will have some ideas.

Thanks Ladies and Gentlemen

Spoon, NSX or Legend calipers are the only ones that come to mind. What's wrong with the ITR klappers?

Well they are tired and I feel as though they are on their last stops. As such I would rather replace them with better performance.

Wasn't there a write up on the NSX retro fit?

As far as Spoon, aren't they for the 16" wheel?

Anyone know about Brembo or Wilwood?

Spoon calipers fit with the stock 15" wheels. I have not heard about a Brembo or Wilwood kit that works with a 15" wheel.

Search archived threads by Dropspeed in the ITR forum, I believe he had a nice writeup about the NSX calipers.

Personally I would just purchase a set of OEM rebuilds, actually, I DID just do that this summer.

Thankyou for the link.

The AP looks very very close! Will defiently look into it, although I am slightly afraid of the $$$, maybe they are cheaper in the UK?

I ve already stated my opinion on the ITR stock.

You could rebuild them for min cost.

I can't beleive you have the need for more brake power... Bling is cool, but when something is either $100 or $1200 I pick the $100 solutiuon.

I can't believe how hard it is for you guys to comprehend that I would like better brakes.

ie. Better than stock. I can't state it any clearer.

I tried searching for car specific on the AP but could not find a list. Was the $1600 for the 2 or 4 pot.

I had the same experience with Brembos.

My firend has a set of Wilwood 4 pot that he is willing to let go for $200, but I assume they need a mount bracket?

jesus christ lol, can you please get over the fact that I want better brakes.

Hell, your user name says mugenmike, so I am assuming that you have lots of Mugen Parts on your car. So are you saying that you "outdrive" your car so much that you need Mugen parts. See my point.

I might not need them, but I would like them. I don't need the Forged Buddyclubs, I could of got the cast ones, but I like them and they serve a purpose, lighter and stronger. The same principle applies with the brakes.

If you are running the Buddy P1s that are forged then they are 15X7 QFs with an offset of 42mm.

click on the FS link in my thread to see if those are the ones you have. Otherwise if it is just the regular P1, then it is CAST, but was available in 45mm and 38mm offset amongst several others....

The wilwoods will require a bracket.... I've had a set of Dynalite IIs back in the day...I doubt they would make an Integra/Civic specific caliper....but $200.00 is good... I just don't like not being able to use factory sized pads...

Which is why I personally opted for Spoon twinblocks.
And they do fit under 15s....even the stock ones. Just don't fit under the cast P1s without a 5mm spacer.

The spoon twinblock for dc2 fit under stock usdm itr wheels without a spacer.

They also fit under a number of aftermarket wheels without any issues whatsoever... search the archives for those threads.

As for other 4-pot aftermarket solutions, the only constraint is your budget. Many fit under 15" wheels as well:

-endless
-ap
-wilwood (fastbrakes.com)
-etc

I would say go for SPOON(u can find these all over the places pretty cheap nowadays) or AP CP5200 4pot brake kit: http://www.apracing.com/roadca...P5100

As far as my friend told me he only get those calipers rebuilt once a year after abt 8 or 10races(that mite as well kinda thing)??

That was back in the days when they still races EG & EK in SE Asia & Macau.

YES that ISN'T my own experience but I wouldn't mind going for the either set coz one is made by Nissin(OEM quality & u can STILL use OEM pads & rotors) & AP is widely used in FIA race series in Europe & Asia.

Okay, well I know they are the forged ones, didn't realize they were 7", thankyou for the offsets.

It looks like the Spoons are going to be the way togo. Will start looking into them more seriously.

Thankyou the last couple posts for the information

If anyone knows of people selling them, lmk
