Check all brake connections, bleed brakes, sound like it could be MC. Read this before anything your problem maybe solved. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1449249

More than likely the master cylinder, EFs (lots of hondas actually) are notorious for this.

yeah, you got a major leak, either internal (inside the MC), or at the calipers or hoses. check your fluid level in the MC, if thats still ok, then your MC seals blew. however, they usually dont blow so suddenly, makes me cautious if its something more serious. check everything!

could it possibly be a vacuum issue?

if the booster is not working your pedal would be very hard. The master could be leaking, have someone pump the brakes while u look into the reservoir (remove the screen) if alot of bubble appear when the brakes are pumped most likely the master is the faulty part.. just to make sure check the calipers, linesand wheel cylinder if apply

what about the bead that is in the vacuum line, that he just asked about?

will the 15/16 MC from a 94 civic ex fit the EF booster?

also is the 15/16 MC from the integra the same as the one from the civic's?

Sounds exactly like what’s happening with my 91 EF DX hatch… When the car is off the pedal is super hard but once the car fires up the pedal goes to the floor – sounds like the master cylinder right? Another thing is if I turn sharp when parallel parking for example I will loose my brakes completely. When that happens I just keep smashing on the brake pedal and suddenly it will catch but yeah I have had a few close calls all ready and almost rolled into a parking sign the first time it happened…

Any ideas?
