Default Oil catch can...already did search

I searched every topic about this subject. I picked up an Endyn breather tank kit which is actually made for a B20 but i was told by Rick at Endyn that it would work on my B18C5.

I mounted it cleanly and everything. I am having a few problems though. The directions indicate for the B20 obviously so i am not quite sure how to hook this thing up. I have the drainback hoses and fittings in place to the back of the block. The can came with 4 openings: one on top, two on the side of the can, and one little opening at the bottom. I plugged one of the fittings on the side. I used one of the opening for 1/2 inch hose to go to the back of the block (drainback) and also the little opening on the bottom for 3/8 inch hose to tee into that 1/2 inch hose for drainback. So now i am assuming that the PCV hose needs to go to the top of the catch can as opposed to the intake manifold? If this is the case, what happens to the vaccum on the intake manifold? Where would that hose go? This is all confusing me. Like is said i read through all the previous posts and did not collect the info i needed. I already loaded the cylinders up with oil installing it wrong! Now i need the right info from the experts. Thanks guys.

You will need to disconnect the stock hose that goes from the PCV to the intake manifold. After that, connect a hose running from the PCV to the catch can and then a from the catch can back into that PCV.

That's what I mean by PCV -> Catch Can -> Intake Manifold

Ok i did that originally. I put a tee on the hose from the intake manifold to the PCV and went to the top of the catch can. I guess the vacuum pulled **** right out of the can into the intake manifold and went into the cylinders and loaded it up with oil

what am i missing here?

not supposed to put a -T- fitting PCV hose goes INTO catchcan, anc another hose goes OUT, into intake manifold.

just take out the T fitting.

see the red PCV valve on the left of my green "catch can?

a line from there STRAIGHT to the catch can, mount the catch can somewhere, then run another line from the catch can to the spot on the intake manifold where my "green catch can" is connecting to in the picture.

Moroso because the catch can is baffled, which help to seperate the oil droplets from the blow-by vapors. You can go to my webpage at http://www.geocities.com/bretq/DIY_O...tructions.html for information installing the Moroso oil catch can.

PROS: prevents oil from being feed back into the intake manifold and it also lowers the detonation point because oil vapors are very flammable.

CONS: have to remember to empty the oil catch can periodically

In this instance, the PROS far outweigh the CONS.

BSQ, so i take it that the red PCV hose needs to go to the top of the catch can? What hose needs to be connected with the outlet on the intake manifold?

Good one! You live and learn. I never expect to be a mechanic but i want to learn the basics. Guess you have to make the mistakes and realize you can learn something from them.

The red PCV hose needs to connect to the inlet on the side of the Moroso oil catch can. The hose from the PCV valve on top of the Moroso oil catch can needs to be connected to the intake manifold.
