Curious, because everyone says different things. I thought for the first 50 or so miles, there is a adhesive from the mold, and after thats gone, the tires are fine.
Thoughts?

You are correct, there is a release lubricant on the tire. read what tire rack has to say.
Cheers!

I don't think it really affects the speed of wear. Check your alignment maybe.

I did nothing special when I got my summer tires to break them in, but I also didnt go track them right away (or at all for that matter). I assume what I did might have broken them in by accident almost. Just normail driving and they seem to be doing just fine.

I think that is pretty much the procedure for "break in". Basically just be careful cause they might be a little slippery at first, so don't give it hell on the first time out cause you might find yourself wrapped around a telephone poll.

Ok cool. I probably broke them in without even trying to. I dont think my car is fast enough to break the limits of these tires much.
