Im running a 90 CRX HF, with a JDM SOHC ZC. When I get on the throttle someitmes the car does not increse engine speed. I can have the pedal to the floor and the car just bogs and sits at whatever rpm it was at before I gave it more throttle. Then like a bat out of hell it will sputter and then take off. I have no Idea what could be causing this, and it sucks. Also I have noticed a knocking sound comming from under the hood, I checked it out and I have no idea what that is. Everything checks out and its not consistant with engine speed, so I dont think its rod knock, any Ideas guys on either of these things?

 

Do you have a check engine light? The first problem sounds like the throttle position sensor, which would be a code 7.

 

Ooops almost forgot, No, no codes guys, yeah I'll check the TPS. I looked at it before but it could be going wrong now that the weather is cold and **** seems to be breaking.

whateevr was making that noise just broke, I got no power at all, the car boggs all the time

 

check your distributor and and yur tune up parts. plugs.wires cap and rotor. it could also be your tps which was previsely mentioned
