Default New oil catch can routing.. Is this ok?

My catch can was causing a vac leak when I had it routed to the stock PCV and to the intake manifold. So I did this for a quick fix unless its ok to just leave it as is. What I did was instead of getting vac from the intake manifold, I routed it to the intake pipe's nipple instead. I dont know if thats enough vac or maybe just vac at open throttle? As you can see in the picture, I Tee'd the valve cover into the stock PCV's line to the catch can.

So it goes: stock pcv --> valve cover --> catch can --> intake nipple. Do you guys think this is ok? Any downsides from doing this?

Also, I have an option to either run a filter on the can or not. I just need to drill and tap a small filter on it. You guys think I should put a filter on it since its getting vac from the intake? I need all opinions, thanks
