when you install a header...
I bought a header… light speed down pipe and some random eBay manifold. When you install it, was there a big noise difference? My **** sounds like a freaking beast and I don’t even have an exhaust. It’s not leaking either (I check and burnt my hands a couple of times.) i can actually hear the air flow through the header pipes.
Yeah mine was quite a bit louder. I'm not sure if is has to do with the material (stock is cast iron I believe as opposed to steel for aftermarket) or if it's the tube thickness. But it is louder, kind of a downside. Makes the whole engine bay louder than it already is.

I thought the stock exhaust manifold was double walled. I was thinking of getting a header for the del sol but it's the S model w/ 1.5L. It'd make more sense to sell this and buy an entirely newer(better) Del Sol. Even with all the intake, header, high flow cat, exhaust. How much gain can I see? 7-8hp at BEST?
That'd make my car go from 103hp to 110hp. Pretty sad gains for $600-700 worth of parts. I could probably sell my S and rebuy a Si (maybe VTEC) for a about that much.
Plus the prospective buy probably wouldn't want to buy a car all riced out. (I wouldn't)
