It's a DOHC 2.4L 160HP -- is this a k-series motor?

I'm interested in getting an Accord but the Canadian v6 does not offer 5MT - only the i4.

its a k24a4 from 2003 and up for the US accord and honda element both r 2.4L

 

i believe its also the same engine, if not slightly different than that of the TSX

 

It is a K series 2.4 DOHC, not sure of the engine code, but it makes 165 HP, as compared to the 03-04 Accord K24A4 DOHC which made 160 HP. TSX is a K24a2 and makes 200HP. NOTE: These are USDM specs, unsure of CDM specs.

 

It is a K24A8

 

The V6 coupe is the only one you can get with a 6sp. All other V6 accords get the 5sp auto.

No, it's not the same as the TSX motor. You'll find some parts the same, but the TSX motor and Accord motor are different codes and they're made for different folks.

The Accord K24 is a slugger, everyday driver with a lot of torque.

The TSX K24 is a higher HP, higher revving sporty car motor.

The 4 cyl Accords have a five speed. The 6 cyl Accords have a six speed.
