Default can i set my WG up like this??

hey guys. here is a pic of my t3 from a nissan. i think its from a 240 or a 300 i forgot which. but i am going to be running external wastegate. i was going to get a dp flange that blocks off the internal WG hole.. and add a pipe of the mani for the wg.
my question is.. when i get a flange could i have a hole cut that will match the hole from the origional internal wg, and use that as my port for my external wg? and just put a pipe on the flange that will connect to the wg? or shuld i just stick with having it come off the mani itself?

Either way would work assuming you keep the flapper open at all times, however I'd definitely recommend shutting the internal gate passage and using a center location on the manifold itself for optimal exhaust flow.

there is no flapper in there, there is nothing left from the internal wg.
