Default H22 in my 91 CRX

I have looked as much as a new B can look and I have over load to the very max. I have a couple of questions on some issues that I'm not able to find the answers to and I'm sure they are here. The first is can I put an A/C with the H22 in my 91. Second where can I find the motor mounts? Also are there any links that truly give the advantages or disadvantages from one motor to another. I have researched this as much as someone with as much mechanical ignorance as I have can possibly do. I just cant figure out why I would put a B16 or B18 in for around the same cost and have that much less torque. So any help would be very much appreciated.

i don't have any experience with putting an H series motor into an Ef, but i know you can get mounts from hasport... A/C...why do you need that? you have windows...

and just so you know, this wouldn't be a daily driver anymore. another thing, if you don't know how to do this, you shouldn't even try...

yea when your 36 years old 20 lbs over weight and live in Florida where the humidty is never a factor, lol and you have a wife that wants to know why your spending 5k on a $500 car you better have A/C. As far as the install, It will be the guys over at L'ORANGE Auto Service in Niceville Fl "great guys" doing the tuff stuff. If you can afford it, let the people who know how to do it, do it right the first time especially when you know as little as I do.

The b16 or even the b18 may have less torque but it isnt slow... I have a D16A8 (ZC) in my car... And it only has 137+... Which isnt that bad... But if u get the B16A1 which is the son of the ZC Which they call the "ZCG" it will have more power on the quarter mile then the H22... This is true facts becuz the H22 is a heavy engine... & belongs to the prelude... And will put to much weight to the EF... Wheich means it will slow u down... I suggest u get the "ZCG" (B16A1) or the B18C1... You will get better results then the H22... becuz the B18c1 has 170HP+... and thats just stock... Just amagine... If u got a V-Tec controller... U will kill the road... Everyone think the H22 is the way to go... but in actuallity it isnt the best for the EF's... Cuz the mounts can snap and anyways you would have to customize the chassis... Its just not worth it... Believe me...

Please check out my site goes into detail and pictures of the H22 EF crx swap

http://www.ExplicitSpeedPerformance.net

AC could be possible with modification...

It is not that hard of a swap. It was my 2nd swap! My H22 crx weighs in at 2020 without me in it... it could be ligther then a gsr swap? Skunked weighed in transmissions H series weighed 2-3 lbs more then a GSR transmission. Weight is not a problem. Mine corners better then my LS crx did. It's a great swap and I wouldn't change it. 158 ft lb torque at 3200 rpm is one hell of a nice feeling.

Someone on this board actually measured weight differences between the 3 engines. They are all aluminum, and the H22 weighed in at only 40 pounds more than the B16, which isn't much considering you have .6 more liters to play with. Also, HAsport sells some very good, reliable mounts from what I understand, and Sport compact car did a complete article on swapping in an H22, which only required denting the firewall in a few places. Hardly "hacking the frame apart" as I hear some people say is required to get it to fit. The swap is becoming more and more popular, and it is beggining to have a wider support base from companies such as HAsport, and The Progress Group.

Do it

Agreed.

Even if you swap in a b16 or a b18c, the swap is much easier than an h22 swap, and you won't be disappointed.
