how much is the going price

i was able to find some for 1400 bucks
is that too much?
how to identify a 98 itr tranny w/4.758 fd

stock 98 + jdm itr (stock-untoched) N3E stamp across from the transmission vin plate mount.
98 spec jdm itr transmission usually run around 1200+, it depends on their condition..ie milage.

if someone put the 4.758 in an itr transmission then the only way to make sure is by opening it up and count the teeth on the final drive.

and it depends what kind of diff u are using, different diffs need special fluids.

Good for the street, but for track get something better (redline, motul gear 300, synthetic synchromesh, etc). Heat kills MTF.
