Default Why does EuDM 5gen H22 Lude have 0.7 sec higher 0-60mph time that USDM

Until today I was thinking that it was mainly beacuse of the final drive, as I thought that H22 euro ludes had 4.06 FD. However, today I used the Speed/RPM calculator to check that and it turns out that I also have 4.266 FD. So now I am totally confused why do EuDM and USDM 5g H22 Ludes have such a big difference in acceleration, as the only difference between them that I know of is that EuDM has 185 crank HP and USDM has something like 195.
Can someone please enlighten me if 10 hp advantage can translate into such difference in acceleration or it there something else?

TIA

maybe that's metric 0.7 sec...

just kidding. probably either a worse driver, or emissions makes the hp lower

I guess the driver skills should be pretty much the same, as these are official figures. I have actually got ~7.0 on mine, but it has I/H/E.

The difference in power is only 10 HP. Can it be that much quicker with only 10 hp more ?

Mind they show 0-60mph in USA and 0-100kph in Europe.
60mph<100kph
usually you can reach 100kph changing the gear and it takes time.

Hm... That might really be the reason. Although 60mph is 96 kmh, if it still requires to change gear to reach 100, then it explains the difference. (I'll have to check at what kmh my 2nd gear tops out - I'm 90% sure its exactly 100kmh).

Then, according to the calculator I should be at 62mph=100kmh at 8000 rpm in 2nd gear. So, it seems that you don't need to shift to third to reach 100kmh.

Elevation?
Road conditions?
Drivers?
Weather?
Add'l fancy-pants non-USDM equipment?

. . . not really a fair comparison.

That is definately a good point. However, I'm pretty sure that I can reach 100kmp (at least on the speedo) in the 2nd gear. I guess I will have to check it today, when going home from work .

Ok, I checked it today, and I can easily get quite a bit over 100 kmh in 2nd gear (~107). So the difference is not because of shifting.

sounds like long *** gears in the tranny then to me, unless you got a chip or higher rev limit.

No I have a bone stock ECU, and the tranny is more or less the same as USDM one. I was already above 100 at 7500 rpm. The only thing I could think of is that maybe the speedo is that much off

This is pointless.. Do you realize how unaccurate the tachs and speedos are in these cars?
