Just a short story I like to share.

A few hours ago I decided to go out with my VFR to see what`s going on in the city. When I left my village I had to enter a two-lane road, one lane for each direction through the nearby forest. The speed limit there is 100km/h, it`s twisty and lots of cars and some trucks encountered..

I took it slow to warm up the engine and the tires like I alway do. Suddenly a black ITR screamed behind me and started to tailgate..

My bike`s got 800ccm/106hp, nothing to stare at but way fast enough to fight with a 911. I checked the temp, the engine was heated up.

As we came to a little straight line, I saw a truck coming from the other direction, but it was about 200m away, so I pulled over an passed the next two cars driving right in front of me, and risked a look in the rear mirror.. That crazy bastard was still behind me, enjoyed tailgating me.. Now I saw his face. An older guy with grey hairs, maybe 50 or so

So I was a litte , took the next chance to pull hard the gas and passed the next three cars by violent acceleration at high rpm, going faster than 190km/h for a few seconds.

The end of the story: When I arrived in town I had to turn left, the ITR decided to follow his way straight ahead. He was only two cars behind me (!) I wonder how that could be possible and further I wonder what that small racecar does to older "boys" who know their life gets shorter every day

I gave him and he laughed..
I hope he keeps his driving license to enjoy me on the racetrack someday.

either ur bike REALLY needs a tuneup, or that old guy's type r is super fast! heh heh

 

I swear, my bike hits 60mph in less than 3 seconds.... but this guy was like crazy

You didn't talk to him and tell him you have an ITR also?

 

The morning I ate a viper with my zx-9r on the freeway was my best ever.

Wait till the VFR with Vtec hits the road.

If you know how to ride well you can push a motorcycle way past your limits..

 

Don`t get me wrong. I would smoke an ITR everytime. I was just shocked that old guy drove like hell on a twisty road. He must have risked his life.

I didn`t talk to him because I`ll see him again. His plate showed me he`s from the same town.

 

All it is is a gimmic to cash in on the rest of their lines VTEC craze.

I see absolutely NO reason to do VTEC cams on a motorcycle ....... with a 12,000+ rpm redline, 11.5:1 compression, and all the power up top anyways of a typical sportbike, who needs it ....

The VTEC system on the new VFR is not anything like the VTEC on any Honda car.
Out of Vtec mode, the VFR only operates on 2 valves per cylinder, VTEC opens the other 2 valves.

 

I test drove the new VFR a few days ago.. Nothing wrong with it, but it`s not my case..
