what year prelude? And IMO it is always! better to get the actual shifter unit..adapters are stupid...

5th gen does not have a whole new shift lever assembly for aftermarket I believe.
4th gen has an excellent one http://www.forbiddenmotorsports.com

The actual short shifter is 100x better than a shitty adapter

what company actually makes short shifter for the 5th gen? I rarely see any. Im looking to get a short shifter also. I use to have the Skunk2 dual bend on my DC2 and it was awesome, best short shifter i've ever felt. Wish they make it for the preludes=(

I too have the forbidden short shifter, and I must tell you, its Freaking great. Especially when paired with a skunk2 weighted shift ****. Its so quick and easy. At first I was afraid that I might miss gears and stuff, but it was the total opposite, its not short from left to right, just up and down.
