Default F20C Theory....

While searching for things about the F20B, I ran across something that said that the F20C has the same exact block as the F20B. So in theory, an F20C head might bolt up to an F20B block, or maybe you could just buy an F20C longblock assembly and put it on an F series tranny and have FWD with 240 hp? Just a thought, what do you guys think? I don't have the resources right now to attempt this, but it's a cool idea. Anyone know of this being done or attempted?

the F20C would be useless without a proper tranny anyways. so bolting up another Fseries tranny, though I doubt possibly, would suck.

It is true that Honda used the f20b to research what needed to be done to safely run a really high revving motor. What they came up with is the f20c. But, I'm pretty sure it shares pretty much nothing with the f and h series motors. Mater of fact, it has more in common with the k series motors (as both spin the opposite of the f, h, b, d series motors). Although it is now possible to drop a k series motor into the accord chassis, I don't know if you will ever be able to fit the F20c into the Accord. I think the biggest hurdle will be the transmission. S2000, rwd. Accord, fwd. You would need a custom set-up to mate a fwd tranny to the f20c (as I bet no stock tranny will bolt up to it...but, I could be wrong with that). The short answer to your question....I don't think the f20b (and h series) block and f20c are similar enough to swap major components.

the f20c is a completely different engine series than that of the f20b or f22/f23 motors...the f20c spins in the exact opposite direction, as previously stated...so if you want an accord that will go really fast in reverse, then this is your optimum choice...other than that, fo getta bowdit

in theory, if you could simply mount it longituonaly in the opposite direction of the K series, and then you would be going forwards

I think I'd like more torque in a car as heavy as an Accord. I say a lightly boosted accord with a stock block would surely tear up an F20c powered accord. But I'm probably alone on this one.

Actually you're looking at crank HP. So guesstimate about 200 or so to the wheels. An H22 with cams can do that for ya.
