Oil shouldn't matter.
I guess check your fuel pressure regulator - put a fuel gauge on it to see the readings........

Hm, what else.......i guess look for an exhaust leak - don't know how much that would help.....Which motor do you have in your car?

Has anyone noticed Ammco went out of business?

me too. It's weird. I'd usually get 350 miles out of a tank on my car, but now that it's ******* cold out, I'm barely getting 290...

not to threadjack, but if anyone can answer this I'd be grateful.

I have a theory that since I have an SRI on my 93 Vtec, I'm flowing a lot more air to the intake. now that it's cold, the air is a lot denser, so I'm flowing even more and my car is compensating by adding a lot more fuel. just a theory, but if anyone can validate it...

Yeah, denser air (and more fuel added) but you're getting more power for each stroke. If you open the throttle less while accelerating you can go just as fast as you did if the air was warm and you open it more, so you can get the same milage you just need to be easy on the gas pedal...

Hm. I believe 50ish-psi.......i think the 4th gens are like 43psi.
THere's no set value though - if you look in a manual, it should give you a range - like 34-43psi or something.

The causes that I know of lower MPG are cold weather, a bad O2 sensor, and driving around on underinflated tires.

When I drove out to cali I used to get ~230 out of a ful tank, so thats about 17-18mpg. After I changed the fuel filter, plugs and wires it jumped to 23mpg. Thats where I am now. Im hopeing once I get the N1 back on it'll jump to 25. I used to get over 300 out of a full tank with that thing a few years ago.

i got an h22a in a 5th gen accord. when i first got the swap in july i was gettin 330 to a tank of gas. then i changed to synthetic n it put me to about 380 and my gas light comes on. so id say it was worth it. but now it dropped down, n my gas light comes on at about 300 miles. it has been very cold this week. (north jer-z) i been in okc the last few yrs. i also monitor my pedal movement so i stay under 4 grand usually. could it be the oil, or should i just clean my k+n? the cold thing sounds logical.

Cold air is more dense= more fuel being injected, try to combine your trips whenever possible so the engine stays hot. Your going to be on fuel enrichment until it warms up. In the summer the combustion temps are higher so the ecu will run it lean so you get better mileage.
