Default Best way to protect an ITR?

Tell me everything I can do to protect my soon-to-be ITR! I don't even have the car yet, and I'm already attatched to it. LoJack and removing the steering wheel are the 2 things that I can think of doing. I was thinking about installing a basic alarm system, but that's probably too easily removable to somebody that is planning to stealing it in the first place. Any other ideas?

Also, any ideas for my first mods? Exhaust and intake first, no body adjustments. What are some good companies to check out? I have a lot of time on my hands.

I'm so close I can almost taste it.

Keep it in a private garage or in storage. A kill switch or fuel cutoff switch are other really good ideas, and just BE PARANOID. The more paranoid you are, the less likely it will end up missing.

I love how people say "just leave it" (talking about at the mall or movie theater) "it's just a car, no one will steal it" Be paranoid park a car behind it when it is at your house. Get a good alarm, kill switch locks, personal security guard

Definitely true, but when you start having various dreams about getting carjacked for a 20k Honda, you have (or have had ) problems.

Full coverage from a reputable insurance company.

Or...brads idea whould be pretty effective. I could even wire it up to go off being triggered by motion, pressure or even cameras.

A bunch of these and you're set.

But common sense and just being really anally rententive usually works too. Full coverage never hurts either just in case someone really wants it.

The best way to protect the car is not to own one. That's the only guarantee you have. That being said, you run the risk everytime the car is parked in a publically accessible place.

all jokes aside, just keep a good eye on her and if you have a garage thats good to. a good alarm and a kill switch with a removable steering wheel and you'll be ok.....

FULL COVERAGE INS.

Best way to protect an ITR is to buy it, destroy any evidence and paper trail that you ever bought it, and then keep it buried somewhere.

owning a honda is like a nightmare u wake up and its gone.......... if people want ur **** bad enuff they will find ways to take it. just try to keep it garaged at night and park it where u can keep an eye on it during the day... probably buy a beater and drive that **** around so ur itr will stay with u thats my best bet good luck

The best way to protect it is to move to a location where crime rates are next to nil and people have no idea what a type R even is.
