Testing 1990 Accord For TCU Code 6
Problem 1. Everytime I start my 1990 Accord the green 'S' light is on and it starts in 2nd gear. After driving about a mile it goes off and drives normal.
Problem 2. Another problem is on cooler days, I have trouble getting my get out of the ignition.
The LED on the TCU gives me a code 6. According to Helms this could be a faulty shift position console switch. (This can also be the cause of problem 2.)
Helms says I need to jump certain pins of the connector with the car in a certain gear. However, if the connector is not conneted to the TCU, I can't put it in gear. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
