Does anyone know how to remove the headrest on an 89 CRX Si stock seat?

Trying to install new upholstery and I am stumped.

There are two little clips, one on each post, down below the fabric in the seat. They can be popped off with a screwdriver. Let me know if you need more info.

Thanks, I looked at the service manual but still cannot locate the clips. Do I need to tear open the seat fabric to get to them?

no man just pry your fingers in there, no screwdriver, youll break them, the clips can be unlatched from the OUTSIDES of each headrest post. Will take you a few minutes and some swearing though

 

No, they are just below the fabric. Push down on the fabric and feel around with a screwdriver. You will find them.

 

The arrow is pointing to the clip. You would push on that on each edge, and it will pop off towards the back of the car.
