Default B16A untuned w/CTR Pistons & S2 st3 cams 13.3@102mph on CRX 1800lbs is he cheating us??

This guy is in the same category as me "Pro Compact C Class" and he claims his engine has stock bore & stroke I'm doing 13.6@98mph with my Civic hatch b20vtec weighing 2340 with me in, we think this guy is using Nitrous or he's stroked to 1800, what do you think about this? could this time be a reasonable time for an untuned b16 w/ around 11.7:1 CR & S2 Stage 3 cams, FD 4.4 and phantom grip?

Sounds rite.

My car ran 13.7 @ 98mph with a 1g B16A with just a header & intake. In a 88' CRX Si. Concedering the extra work he has done. Low 13's is possiable.

a friend of mine run 12.9 in a gutted out EG hatch with a stock B16 bottom end with a GSR head with porting/valvetrain/cams

seems reasonable since it's in a CRX

I love when people answer there own question, Look at title and think about it.

Remember HP to Weight ratio. Its not about who has the highest HP.

Friend in a gutte CRX(1800) with a b18b ran a 12.8 on slicks with mild port/milling no other internal work and all basics

Ok, I guess you're right I just thought he could be cheating us, besides this is the first b16 in my country hitting low 13s.

My brother had a full interiro 88 CRX HF that weighed 1850 with his swap. He was running a Bone stock B16 A2 with Clutch, CAI, Open CTR header, and Mugen exhaust. The engine's valve train and block was completely stock and it ran 13.5's consistently without a beat.

You guys have strong B16's. Mid to low 13's isn't normal unless you are on slicks. But the traps don't reflect that, they are too high to be slicks.
What do you guys consider basic bolt on's?

My best is a 14.0@100 with a 2.3 60 on street tires. Intake, busted/leaking header, 2.5"mandrel exhaust and buddy club 3+ cams. This is in a 2000lbs car with me in it.

YUp that sounds right.

A few years back I hit a 13.2 @ 101 in my homies 91 Si hatch, w/ no rear seats...

B16A2 bone stock block, PortFlow head, 1 layer gasket, 401 cams with a JUN

program, open DC 4-1 header, with a shitty 1.9 60 ft.....Honestly that **** ran

hard *** expletive, that **** almost felt as fast as my 75 single fogger on "my"

B16A back in the day...I was surprised I hit a 13.2 in it...

heres a pic before it got stolen

basic bolt ons=a header, intake , a ITR manifold a chipped ecu etc....nothin within the engine like cams etc..

I hit a 13.7 @ 98mph with bolt ons, open header on 14x8x20 mickey T slicks..I still

had a shitty 60ft of 2.0-2.1..

on street tires it would have been a 14.3-14.5 e.t roughly

I do agree with you. I do also think that with slicks, my new header and a proper tune that low 13's aren't out of the question at all.

Low 13's with a stock B16 is very hard to believe though. Unless the car weighs 1400 lbs.

it was hard to believe for us as well, until we did it bro...trust me, it felt really healthy...and the car weighed roughly 2300lbs without driver

i can vouch for surg's car that **** was fast for a 1.6

I got my stock block b16 to go 13.30@101.7 but thats all she could do so i put 120 direct on it and it blasted a 12.13 @114.9 stock block, street trim
