comparitively, what kind of power does a supercharged k20a3 put down, versus a n/a k20a2?

im looking to do a k20 swap, and my buddy has a a3 sitting collecting dust... i think he'd let it go for a good price too.

is it worth it?

 

I am not very familier with SC k20a3's but N/A a2's can easily hit ~220whp w/ I/H/E/K-Pro/IPS K-2 cams (I dont think Im forgetting anything). Oh yea, tuning of course. In a RSX-S that (w/ good driver) should be good for high 13's but depending on what car you drop that into you can have even more of a N/A monster.

Hoepfully more will chime in with SC a3 opinions. What car would you be dropping this in to?

according to JSRC website, they're putting down 224 with K-Pro and couple other mods..

how much is your friend lettting the A3 go for???

anyway tho I think it's better you go with A2, because you can always make more power with A2 than A3 when applied the same mods...

May I ask why you dont opt out for B series?? and also don't the del sols come with B16 in it already??? or is it only the del sol si versions.... sorry I'm a noob at B series...

my current set-up is JRSC-S. i have not put out dyno's. hopefully soon. the JRSC-S is comparable to K20A2 with i/sh/e. another friend ran his street ep3(with SRI & RH) against a type-s with the basic bolt-ons, and he kept up fine. i'd like to run a RSX-s myself. we shall see
