Default Hi all from the UK...

Don't really know if this is the correct place to put this, so sorry if its not...

Just saying hi really to all my fellow Honda buddies...

Im Ryan from the UK (my Dad lives in Queens Creek, Phoenix)!. I own a 1992 Gunmetal Grey CRX siR with every option Its just rolled over 90k and is still running like a dream, eating k20 Civic Type R's for breakfast! It only has a full s/s Hayward and Scott custom exhaust, Supersprint 4-2-1 manifold (header) and a cold air induction kit. Is running roughly 180bhp and is stripped out for track use. Its sitting on 14" Sure alloys wrapped in Yoko's and -40mm Pi springs.

I have a lot planned for this car, just watch this space, but she will remain a 1.6l! No B20 for me!

Heres a few pics for ya >>>

Hope you like her as much as I do,

Ryan

What exhaust is that on there? Looks very similar to the one I have on my EF8.

Hey sweet looking crx! I was looking for a SiR but up in Edinburgh Scotland I have yet to find one (only seen one at fort kinard with smoked tail lights awesome). The result after 6 months of looking was giving in, buying a clean 1989 16v(No suitable vtecs around - rust buckets) from a 70 year old - only owner from new - I had to show my knowledge before the guy would even show me the car!!!!!! Mind I paid top dollar £2000 for a 16V with slight rust on arches!!! Thats nearly $4000!!! Anyway I love the car and started modifying it!!!! The look I am going for is -40mm drop and outside standard!! For now!!! But look at other posts for info! Should be a standard looking 185bhp beast!! Will try to post pics within a week+ but at uni and very busy at moment!!!

If anyone has spare rear spoiller please email me as that is one of the few exterior mods I will do!!!

The gun metal grey is jdm only or on only like 5-10 UK Civic VT's !!!!! In the uk for 16V we got Blade silver (mine), Red, and white thats it!!! When the vtec came they added Celestial Blue but that is it - the best colour in my opinion for any rex but cost £500 more on normal colours in Uk!!! JDM was mainly Black and a few gun metal grey!!!

@Dan - Read up a bit more about the UK/JDM rexs you have a bit to learn. Look up http://www.hondacrx.co.uk and join the forum and also visit http://www.cr-x.org for more specs. Its an Irish Site.

My 16v is a standard Gunmetal Grey same as Ryhounds Sir. True it is quite rare on a ukdm car though.

Celestial blue isnt that rare over here and is also a 16v colour, It was never an option on JDM rexs so no moonroof with that colour. Most SiRs are Black, Wine Red, Gun Metal and a few white, not really too many of other colours but they did come in more just cant think off hand.

The uk vtecs also came in Milano Red, Rio Red, Celestial Blue, White, Blade Silver and the list has a few more. Black wasnt an option afaik, never seen a ukdm with one anyway only lhd edm cars.

@Ryhound - Good to see a CRX Uk'er over here. Im Irish_Rex on there.

Hi, I know plenty between the difference betwwen the 16v and vtec!(just maybe not about colours! But i got the basics right I think? The Reds are the least valuable!!! I didn't bother listing the red's as they fade so badly!!!! Not worth having unless u get them cheap Especially the Rio Red, as they compare to the Audi 80 red if u know what i mean? (must be resrayed) Nearly always, u would have to respray unless immaculate - even then they have prob been resprayed in the past(red I mean)!!! U agree? The white is the most popular because of the easy repair damage!! The 16v blade silver and celestial blue are the best because if in top spec they command a premium!!!!!!!!

According to my knowledge which may be wrong, I have never seen a celestial blue car which is non vtec!!! Please send pics as I would love to see a blue 16v It is not that I don't believe you, just I have never seen one! Yet I have never seen a Mugen kit on a UK car, just a WW which is subtle! Anyone got a mugen kit to look jdm?

May have to sign up to see

Edit just realised if you read the brochures on cr-x.org, the 16v colours listed are the ones first offered by honda. Others were added in the latter years

Do you think this looks faded?
Rio Red '91 VT, driven all year round. Have been standing outdoors last 3 years (don't know about the previous years). No respray.

Well...yeah, it's a bit faded on one of the rear quarters and some spots on the roof. And the paint on the wing has begun to bubble or something. But hey... it's 15 yo paint
