Hey

I got an Injen intake and it is way too loud. It has the injen filter on it.

IS there anyway to make it so it is not so loud???

It so loud at full throutle that it over takes the exhaust..

whenever you remove the stock resonation system on a vehicle, its going to get signifigantly louder...i used to have the injen intake on my 00 Si, but i ended up removing it because i didnt feel it did anything other than make alot of noise...even if you have the stock intake, and remove the resonator...it gets louder...basically, theres nothing you can do...if you dont like it that much, use your stock intake piping, and get a K&N drop in...does the same thing...

 

Does the filter on the intake make a difference?

I have seen that some intake breathe from the outside of the cone in and others breather from the inside of the cone and the out side of the cone.
I hope that does not sound too confusing..

Ok this has been posted before and NO i ain't telling you to search LOL . In a previous post it had been discovered that there is a small opening in your throttle plate that controls idling and so forth . When the car is at idle and sitting the throttle plate is closed and the intake begins pulling air in through that hole which in turns producing the whistling noise . There is no way of getting rid of the noise except by replacing the stock intake .
