Default can you swap guts between cable and hydro b16 tranny?

hey guys, 5th gear and reverse are out(wont go into gear at all) in my hydro b16a tranny.(dont know exactly the tranny code). but i bought a cable tranny for $150, so i figured i might be able to swap shift forks from the cable tranny to the hydro tranny(just the 5th gear and reverse). will this work? Also, if that does work is there anything else i can take out of the cable tranny and put in the hydro?(like the final or any gears that are better) thank you guys. PLEASE HELP!!!

count the splines on the input shafts, if they are the same then, yes.

The thing is, if you want to swap the internals, you have to swap the two gearsets and all shift forks in their entirety. Your differential you have now can stay but the shift selector collars are completely differnet and you have to use the cable shift forks.

The only cable transmissions that are capable of the swap are the YS1 flavor and I doubt that you have a YS1.
