Default Question about stripping paint off of stock rsx rims

So I rattle canned my stock rims a dark gunmetal color a while ago and I'm getting tired of the color/paint chips and was wondering if anyone had stripped the paint off of their rims with Aircraft stripper? I know it'll take off the stock paint also but that's what I want. Do you guys think they would look good if I painted them flat black?

I had another idea though, what if I were to polish the wheel when it's just the bare metal and spray clear over that? Would that work or is it a stupid idea?

Yeah, aircraft stripper works. Might take a few times to get it all off.

I've seen someone take all the paint off(including stock paint) and polish them and I've also seen someone who has painted the stockies black(not flat black, it was pretty shiny) I've seen that on a black car and a blue car and I preferred the polished black look over the polished steel(no paint) look.

Search on http://www.clubrsx.com you should find plenty examples of painted stock rims.

Since they're aluminum, they'll just look like aluminum.
