Default Header for CRX Question

I am looking for a header for a D16a6. Do all D series headers fit D series heads, similar to the way it is with B series? Or do I have to get a header specifcally for an 88-91 CRX? Just looking to expand my searching options. I cant find many used headers for sale for an 88-91.

It has to be the right one for your car. Most all models have differences in the length of the pipe, angle of the bend. You can use an 88-89 header too but it hangs down about an inch or two lower.

Im not worried about the length of the pipe or how low it hangs. Its going to be used on an ITA race car. All i'm worried about are the ports matching up.

ALL D series headers will bolt on. the only difference between the 88-91 and 92-95 header is the O2 sensor is further down the header on the 92-95 so you could use it but you would need to extend your O2 sensor wire and run it down the back of the engine.

So what about the 96+ D series headers? Will they bolt up as well and need the O2 sensor wire extended?

I dont know about aftermarket headers, but on the 96+ d series motors, the o2 sensor is the same place on the exhaust manifold.

Didnt compare the manifold ports on the y8 vs the a6 so I cant say as to the shape/positioning.

It did bolt up directly without any problems to the rest of my stock exhaust on my 91 crx si.
