maintanence required light
i got a 2001 honda civic ex. when i start my car my maintanence required light would come on and blink 10 times and then go out? i figured its a code for something since it blinked exactly 10 times? becuase it came on before but it didnt blink it was steady and that was for a maintanence check or something instead. anyone know what it means when it blinks 10 times? thx
Its due to the mileage.
After 8G it will flash till 10G.. by 10G you will already have the letter in the mail from honda telling you to take it in for a check up..
Here you go guys... A link on how to reset it. Very simple process.

Yes, it's a code that says to read the f'n owner's manual. Or just follow the re-set procedure the other poster supplied. However, don't just re-set it and go on your merry way. There is a reason it comes on, basically to tell you that some maintenance is due. If, however, you have performed those maintenance tasks, you can ignore it.
