Default Auto Transmission Fluid

I have a 90 Accord LX and went to check the transmission fluid level and could not find where to do this. Can anyone help?
Thanks

are you kidding me? there's a dipstick which is sticking out of, well, the tranny.

you see the loop with yellow rubber around it? there's on for motor oil and the shorter/lower one is for atf

on your car you need to

stand in front of car

on left side of car the dipstick is down low and on my car (a 94 LX) the handle is reddish brown. it is a small dipstick on the front of trans near the bottom of transaxle.

I was told that every time you replace the tranny fluid the drain plug should be replaced. Is that true?

the washer should be replace, the plug is replaceable only if it's stripping

Is the plug easy to find? I have done everything to all my cars except replace the tranny fluid. I does not sound hard to do.

IT is not hard to do, you can see a plug that have a 3/8 slot, stick your 3/8 racket and turn it loose.

make sure you flush and refill it three time.

when you take the plug out, the fluid will drain. refill with approximately 3.75 quarts.

the torque converter will not let you drain out all the ATF, that's why you have to drain and refill at least three time to get all the dirty juice out

I can figure out what flush and refill is, but i mean that i have never done it. I will change the tranny fluid myself, never had a problem doing anything to my car.

well, i didn't say you cannot, but sir, you asked the question yourself.

all i am saying it, if you have enough experience to do the job, go for it.
the last thing i want to do is to teach someone that have no idea what so ever to do something(esp. something as important and expensive as car) and they mess up there car.

i am not trying to be an ****, if i was, i would tell you something about pouring brake fluid into atf hole

No prob. Like i said i have done everything to my hondas except motor swap. Fluid change is not big deal, of course it has to be done right. I have never changed the tranny fluid that is why i said that i never heard of flush and refill. Wasent sure if you needed a special flush kit. No problem, i do appreciate your advice however.

just need a long funnel to refill the atf hole(which is the same hole you pull the dipstick from)
