Default Factory CD player install 98 Hatch

I've got a 98 Hatch with an am/fm radio only. no tape deck even! Friend of mine has the factory cd player that sits by the cupholders that i'm pickin up. is there a harness from the radio to the cd player that i need? or is it already wired for it? any info would be great, thanks.

I'm not sure what color the harness is, i haven't gone back there yet. And yup, there's cd controls on it.

All of the tape decks from that year have the word CD on them, so no worries there. There is no harness that you'll need, it's black or a white wire that connects from the back of the cd player to the tape deck. Should already been with the cd player.

No code is needing for this as there is no place for it, it's a stand alone cd single cd player that operates directly from the tape deck.

awesome... only thing is, the radio in my hatch is just that. a radio, no tape deck. it should still connect right to the back of it though correct?

it should fit fine. if you pull out your radio you will clearly see where the plug connects to in the back.
