i have a question need some help guys bought a bear big brake kit used with brand new pads it's been on the car for a little while now but it's pulsating pretty bad when stopping from like 60mph and up. My question is can i turned these rotors or do i need to buy some new ones? thanks.
Most of the time, the manufactor of the brakes of either a cross drilled or slotted (whichever your kit may have) would recommend NOT turning the rotors.
IMO, if you spent the money on a brake upgrade -you should respect your orginal thought of your needing more brake power -contact the company of the brake kit, find out what rotor they used and get some new ones.
Many times, if you find out the spec of the rotor, you can find the rotors cheaper. I have seen kits use simple stock size performance rotors of a VW Corrado G60. In that case, the brake kit company wanted to sell the rotors for about $250 each, but I found them from Brembo for $80 each.
