i'm currently just running a stock intake box with a k&n drop in filter, i like the stock look a little more, if you wanna go for the filter on a stick, i suggest getting an ebay one, same thing as AEM or Injen etc, but without a carb #

the reason why u should go with an ebay one is that its just a piece of tube, so it doesnt matter how much you pay for it. Expect to throw away the filter a get a K/N one right away, dont bother with the POS filter that comes with it. Im using the same as the guy above.

And if you are wanting the deep growl an intake produces, remove your resonator. It is right in front of your passenger side front wheel. You have to remove the bumper and a few bolts, but it is free. The only thing it will cost you is a little time.

This is true. All intakes are going to give you same results in the end. All SRI are the same, as are CAI. End of story.

Make sure if you plan on buying a ebay short ram and then getting a k&n filter that you don't spend too much because these days AEM short rams are only $70-$80. Most of those ebay intake sellers charge an arm and a leg for shipping.

What are you talking about? I got my EBay intake for $15 dollars shipped, and a filter for $30, my intake setup cost me under $50 dollars and it's as effective as someone who spent $200.

i have an injen intake and it works wonderfully. nice sound and isn't made of the cheap metal or plastic like the ebay ones. plus, i got mine for very cheap. look around and find the deals on the name brand intake. i dont know if you are building your car up or not, but a lot of the intake companies such as aem or injen put money into research to find what works best. the ebay companies just bend a tube and put a filter on it. good luck

And how do the other companies make their intake arms? Magic? I've said it before, and I'll keep saying it as long these intake threads around.

ALL CAI intakes are the same, as are SRI they will all yield the same result in the end.

Definitely good info Andy. But it's compared to a stock airbox, I'd like to see a comparison of an EBay intake and the Password intake. I'm guessing the numbers would be roughly the same.

And more than likely you will still be disappointed with that intake as well. Have fun throwing your money away.
