Default Everybody's doing it! PIC AT THE TRACK**EDIT**

got me a beater, like i was mentioning here a while back, but this time, it has pics. Its a 1991 civic std DX, with a D15B7 swap OBD-0 with cross slotted disks in front(spelled it wrong) and rear disk brakes from a teggy. runs pretty quick for a dx i think. i ran it here in 619 at qualcom, those who are 619'rs kno whay im talking bout. its an 1/8th of a mile track. ran average 10.5's. 60 footers of 2.4 average. not bad. i have a clip of me getting burnt by a buddy of mines with a b18 hatch, anybody know how to post videos on here?? ill post video if u guys tell me how to do it. im open to any comments on my new hatchy. by the way, i paid $$1,500 for it.

warming up my tires a bit.

Looks pretty sweet. I suspect it runs great and everything? It is amazing what great of a car you can get for so cheap. I got mine for $1260 from some lady selling their economical family car. They took superb care of it (I still have receipts and records from when they first got it although they were the 3rd owners, and the dealership manual has all the dealer service dates recorded). They had purchased it from a close friend of theirs, and that person had bought it from someone who happened to be the mom of one of my friend's. She had bought it from the dealer, so I am the 4th owner. After checking the reciepts (6 months after I got it) I learned it had had new half shafts installed recently, other misc engine parts replaced, and I know the timing belt and water pump were replaced almost 40 thousand miles ago. I have swaps and stuff in mind for next year and I can't wait to get the money to get everything started. Good luck with your car... And by the way you said it has the D15A7 swap I believe? Is that the D15 from a new civic or something that has more HP? Mine has 92HP I believe, so I was curious about that.

sweet, yea it has the D15B7 engine, comes from a 92-95 civic dx/lx. it has about 102-106 hp i think, someone correct me if im wrong. but i think it pulls nice! i love it, i have a z6 head sitting in my garage waiting to be slapped on this baby, but that will be in the future when i feel my car needs more power, since i use it to go to school and work only and run it every now and then. gl with your hatchy as well.

2.4's? not bad for qualcomm, home of the shittiest 60 ft times ever.

the vtec head isnt even worth it, imo. just get an si or sohc zc cam and bolt on the d16z6 intake mani, good power and 1/10th the time and money. then slang the head and get an ex/si tranny
What ecu are you running if you got a d15b7 running obd-0?

I used to run 9.8's at qualcomm with a d1b7 in a 4 door, with just zc cam, chip, i/h/e, weight reduction and slicks (still cuttint 2.1 -2.2 60 fts)

Yea, this was my first time at the q also. Well I'm running a 91 ls obd 0 chip. But I think it runs better with a si 91 chip. So u say scratch the vtec head and just use the many with obd 0 injectors and stuff. And the cam, the si or zc will fit? What year si? Maybe we can meet up so u can give me some pointers.

for 619'rs

you would probably run alot better with the si ecu. LS ecus run real rich on sohcs. I definately recomend the zc came, Try seaching for the member outsane and check the link in his sig. He had a zc head for only $25, dont know if it has the cam though. if you cant get a zc cam 88-91 si cams are okay, one year was a lil better I forget which one though. you just need a cam gear to tune it o2 d16y8 cam gear might help.
You can run all the all the same injectors and ish, but might easier to swap to obd1 especially when smog rolls around.
