I plan on buying this 2003 S2000 with only 10k on it, perfect condition. EXCEPT for the tree sap stain. The owner says he's tried everything and the thing just won't go away. He says it looks "glossy" where it's stained.

Anybody have any suggestions? I'd buy this car in a heartbeat if it wasn't for the darn stain.

 

How big is the stain? If it's not that big, I really wouldn't worry about it. How many times are you going to have your top up in So Cal anyway?

you're pretty much SOL.... i got a couple stains on mine.. they won't come out...

 

peanut butter

 

what kind of peanut butter? .. and how would it work?? lol....

 

i had wax stains on my top. i looked on s2ki and made a thread. they told me smear some peanut butter (smooth, not chunky). They told me to let it sit for a couple mins then remove it. It has something to do with the oils in the peanut butter which removed the wax residue for me

 

use a toothbrush? or just apply it like you're putting it on some bread?

 

i used a butter knife, just apply a very very thin layer. then i scraped it off using another butter knife. then used a toothbrush and soap. all of it came of and no more stains
